Customs & Import Duties
WHAT ARE CUSTOMS AND DUTIES?
When you place an international order, your package must pass through customs—a checkpoint where it is inspected to ensure compliance with local laws.
Some countries may charge additional fees, such as customs duties or import taxes, on certain items. These fees are determined by your country’s regulations, so we aren’t able to predict the amount or whether they’ll apply. This is a standard aspect of international shopping.
We recommend checking with your local customs office if you’d like more information on what charges might apply before placing your order.
WHO PAYS FOR CUSTOMS AND DUTIES?
The shipping fees paid at checkout do not include customs duties or import taxes (duty unpaid). If your order incurs these fees, they are determined by your local customs authorities and will be your responsibility.
Here’s what you need to know:
-
Payment of Fees: If applicable, these fees must be settled as part of the delivery process. FedEx will contact you directly with details about any charges, which can be paid directly to them.
-
Jewellery Gift Orders: If you’re purchasing jewellery as a gift for someone in another country, we recommend shipping the item to your own address first. You can handle any applicable customs fees and taxes before forwarding the package to the recipient. Unfortunately, we cannot prepay or manage local taxes and duties for shipments sent directly to another country.
-
Refused/Unclaimed Packages: If a package is refused or goes unclaimed, any return fees (duties, taxes, or shipping costs) will be deducted from your refund.
By placing an order, you agree to cover any additional fees required.
Thanks for understanding and happy shopping!
